Crafting beautiful jewelry starts with high-quality jewelry models. Browse our unique collection of jewellery 3d models available for download in STL, 3DM and render image formats. Use the below filters to efficiently search our 3D models marketplace.
STL is the simplest and most common file format used in printing any jewellery 3d model. The name stands for Stereolithography File Format, which stores and encodes limited information about 3D CAD models.
For example, an STL file will include information about the surface geometry of the 3D model, but it will not store or feature any of its colors or textures. The simplicity of this STL format and the limited information it encodes result in an optimized file size smaller than that of other 3D printable file types like an OBJ. This optimal file size makes STLs easier to process and faster to transfer. As a result of this, jewelers use STLs to produce single color and single material jewelry prototypes of any 3D model.
An OBJ format is a more complex 3D print format than an STL. Like an STL, an OBJ file stores information about the jewelry 3D model's surface geometry. However, it also stores information on its geometry, texture, and mesh.
This additional stored information comes at the expense of a larger file size than an STL, which makes an OBJ, in some cases, a less desirable format for the 3D printing process.
OBJ file formats remain perfect to 3D print multi-color and multi-material jewelry 3D models!
A 3DM file is an open-source 3D model format. As a native file format for Rhinoceros, it includes more information than an STL or an OBJ file format would, as it also saves details about the 3D graphics of the model.
It's often referred to as the source file of a jewelry 3D model. As a result of this, the 3DM file format allows a user to introduce modifications to the jewelry 3D model design.
3DM files are computer-aided design (CAD) files and can be created and edited by jewelry specialized CAD software such as Gemvision's Matrix and RhinoGold. Some 3D printers require a file conversion of 3DM files to STL format before a jeweler can 3D print a ring.
